For over a decade, while awaiting execution on Death Row, Joseph Edward Duncan III posted his reflections, dreams, confessions and chronicles to a blog called The Fifth Nail. Before he died of brain cancer in March 2021, he requested that his work be published as a book. It became one, over six hundred pages in four volumes.
